Our saltwater-resistant VA4 (AISI 316) stainless steel cables comply with European standard DIN 13414-1 and are classified as 7x7 and 7x19 cables, consisting of 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires ensures both high flexibility and increased stability. The stainless steel wire rope is crimped at both ends with a stainless steel round clamp, which acts as a rope stopper.
High safety standard: The working load of the stainless steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking force and is crimped in accordance with DIN-EN 12385-4.
Tested quality: We only use high-quality V4A AISI 316 stainless steel for our stainless steel cables with stainless steel round press clamps, which means that the wire ropes can be exposed to difficult weather conditions over a long period of time. With the help of several of our own calibrated universal tensile testing machines, we are able to guarantee seamless quality assurance. Several test trials have determined the following minimum breaking forces for the stainless steel cables:
- 1 mm: 77 kg
- 1.5 mm: 158 kg
- 2 mm: 234 kg
- 3 mm: 397 kg
- 4 mm: 927 kg
- 5 mm: 1,580 kg
- 6 mm: 2,426 kg
Attention! The minimum breaking force does not include a safety factor. A safety factor of 5 must always be applied to the permissible working load. Not suitable for lifting loads above people or as PPE.
Customised lengths: The stainless steel cables are available in various thicknesses and lengths for customised production. Once you have selected the length range, you can enter the exact desired measurement in the field provided. Please refer to the technical details for the exact length dimensions. The stainless steel cables with round clamps are then custom-made for you within 1-2 working days.
Versatile applications: The stainless steel cable with two cable stoppers can be used, for example, as a garage door pull cable, for an articulated arm awning or a spring pull. Thanks to the V4A AISI 316 stainless steel used, the stainless steel cable can also be used in coastal regions and salty air.
